Sports Dance Club "Mood"
Sports dance club "Mood" was founded in Ruse in the fall of 1985. Its founders are Elena and Ivan Despotovi. Since its foundation, the club has been housed in the hall of the "Revival" school, where it is still today. Its history is long and glorious. For the past twenty-three years, thousands of children have passed through the dance hall, and many of them have grown up as elite competitors of the highest rank, winning many national and international awards for their club. In addition to the numerous prizes won by the individual participation of the dance couples at prestigious competitions in Bulgaria and abroad, a team from the club is a thirteen-time national champion in the extremely difficult and attractive discipline - "ENsemble PERFORMANCES OF LATIN AMERICAN DANCES" and as such has represented the country at eleven European and eleven World Championships in countries such as: Austria, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic. Under the skillful leadership of their coaches Elena and Ivan Despotovi, who have the highest "A" coaching qualification, the team has reached a ranking in the top ten of Europe and the World, with the participation of about 35-40 teams in these extremely prestigious forums. In one of its last participations in the "Danube Cup" Open tournament for formations held in Vienna, the team managed to take the prestigious seventh place out of twenty-three teams.
Sports dance club "Mood" is the host and organizer of fifteen national and international competitions of all ranks, and in the fall of 2007, it hosted the first in the history of Bulgarian sports dances International tournament for formations, where its team won the bronze medals.
At the moment, 32 regularly registered dance couples and about sixty newly admitted children are training in the club, and there are 26 dancing students. Competitors from the club participate in all events of the University of Ruse, as well as in all events of the Municipality of Ruse.
