The activity of the centre is expressed in:
1. Acquisition of additional qualification;
2. Enhancement of already acquired qualification;
3. Refresher and periodic training.
Documents for a completed training course are issued according to Normative Acts of the Council of Ministers for each qualification activity:
- For long-term forms /more than one semester/ – Certificate of professional qualification.
- For short-term qualification courses - Certificate.
- In the case of training in an optional discipline - the assessment is included in the student's university diploma.
Conducted courses
The continuing education centre organizes various trainings on current and sought-after topics, corresponding to the specialties studied at the university. Conditions are available for long- and short-term qualifications and language training.
LONG-TERM SPECIALIZATIONS TO ACQUIRE A NEW QUALIFICATION
Qualifications with a study period of up to 1 calendar year provide a new or additional professional qualification. The Centre for Continuing Education offers the following long-term specializations:

• Instructor for training motor vehicle drivers;
• Acquisition of legal capacity to conduct the practical examinations of candidates for the acquisition of legal capacity to drive motor vehicles of subcategory B1 and categories M, B, Ttb, Ttm and Tkt under Art. 153, item 3 of the Road Traffic Act;

CONTINUING TRAINING COURSES
Periodic trainings are aimed at updating and improving the knowledge of specialists in individual fields. To inform and supplement their knowledge regarding changes in normative documents, rules and regulations. The Continuing Education Center offers the following continuing education courses:
• Periodic training of workers in Points for annual technical reviews -1, 2, 3, 4 -Tb, Tm categories.
• Periodic training of Instructors for the training of candidates for the acquisition of legal administration B, C and other categories.
• Periodic training of Chairmen of examination commissions for practical and theoretical examinations of candidates for the acquisition of legal administration B, C and other categories.
For students:
Competitive math
The course is designed for excellent students who have a strong interest to mathematics, developed logical and analytical thinking and a creative approach. The aim of the course is to prepare students for a successful presentation in various mathematical competitions: regional and national from the National MES calendar. The training is conducted by experienced mathematics teachers, qualification in teaching methodology in mathematics. The methodical management is at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at the Faculty Natural Sciences and Education of the University of Ruse.
MATHEMATICS FOR THE CANDIDATE - STUDENTS
The course is designed for prospective students who are preparing in mathematics for the University entrance exam or for students preparing for the State matriculation exam. The training is conducted by experienced mathematics teachers, qualified in the methodology of teaching mathematics. The methodological guide is from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, FNSA. Aims and objectives of the training: • The aim of the course is to prepare the candidate students for successful presentation of entrance examinations in mathematics at the University and the State matriculation examination. • The following training tasks are set: developing the logical thinking of the students, examining a variety of tasks and mastering specific approaches and methods for solving them. The course lasts 80 hours.
